World Press Freedom Day is celebrated annually on May 3. This day, established by the UN General Assembly in 1993, is dedicated to the defence of freedom of expression, the assessment of the situation of press freedom in the world, and paying tribute to journalists who have lost their lives in the exercise of their profession.
Environment Day: Celebrated on 5 June
Food Day: World Food Day is observed on 16 October, while World Food Safety Day is 7 June.
White Cane Day: Celebrated on 15 October to recognise the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired.
