Mushtaq Ahmad Yusufi was born in 1923 and died in 2018. He was not only a master of Urdu humour and satire, but he also carved a niche in the banking industry of Pakistan by rising to the apex of this financial world. Along with shaping the contours of banking, he left an indelible literary mark with the likes of "Chiragh Talay", "Khaak-e-Badhan" and "Aab-e-Gum" that have been widely read and loved. Throughout his banking career, Yusufi played several key roles:
