Pakistan’s continental shelf extends out to 350 nautical miles from its coastline. This extension beyond the previous 200 NM was approved by the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf on March 19, 2015, adding 50,000 square kilometers to Pakistan’s seabed territory.
