Qutb-ud-din Aibak was the founder of the Slave Dynasty (Mamluk Dynasty) and the first Sultan of the Delhi Sultanate. He died in the year 1210 AD in Lahore. He fell off his horse while playing "Chaugan" (an ancient form of polo) and the injuries from the fall led to his death.
