What is the old name of “Oslo”, the capital city of Norway?

  • (A) Norwania
  • (B) Loro Sae
  • (C) Christiania
  • (D) Atlantica
The history of Oslo begins in 1040 when it started to develop under its original name, Oslo. In 1624, a fire destroyed a big portion of the city, and King Christian IV, who was in power in Norway during this time, decided to relocate it a bit closer to Akershus Fortress and rename it Christiania, also known as Kristiania. For more than three hundred years, this name remained unchanged until 1925, when Norway decided to go back to its roots and reinstate the original name, Oslo, in a bid to revive its heritage.
