The Ghulam Muhammad Barrage is also referred to as the Kotri Barrage. The barrage is situated on the Indus River in the Sindh province of Pakistan, between Jamshoro and Hyderabad. The barrage was finished in 1955 and was opened by Malik Ghulam Muhammad, who was the Governor-General of Pakistan at that time. The barrage plays very important roles in irrigation and flood protection, supplying large canals such as Fulleli, Pinyari, and Kalri Baghar.
