Our next planetary friend, Mars, has two small, oddly shaped satellites. Their names are Phobos and Deimos. These were discovered back in 1877 by Asaph Hall. Phobos is the bigger moon, closer to Mars. Deimos, the smaller moon, is farther away from Mars.
Phobos (Fear): Phobos orbits Mars very closely. It’s slowly spiraling towards Mars. In about 50 million years, Phobos will crash into Mars or break apart into a ring around Mars.
Deimos (Terror): The smaller moon, farther away from Mars, slowly moving away from Mars.
