Pakistan conducted its nuclear tests at Chagai, in the province of Balochistan, on May 28, 1998. Code-named Chagai-I, the test consisted of five simultaneous underground nuclear tests in the Ras Koh Hills at 15:15 PKT. Pakistan thus became the seventh nation in the world to have nuclear weapons. This day is observed every year as Youm-e-Takbeer.
