Term of the office of Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan?

As per Article 215 of the Constitution of Pakistan, the Chief Election Commissioner has a term of five years (before 18th amendments his tenure was three years)  from the date of assuming office Election Commission of Pakistan. Appointment: The appointment of the CEC is made through a consultative process between the government and opposition and is approved by the President The International Foundation for Electoral Systems.
