  • The Shalamar Garden, also known as the Shalimar Gardens, is located in Lahore and has a history dating back to the Mughal Empire, when Shah Jahan established this garden around 1641-1642. This garden was supervised by Khalilullah Khan, a nobleman of the Mughal Empire, in collaboration with Ali Mardan Khan and Mulla Alaul Maulk Tuni. This Persian-style Charbagh garden is spread over three levels of descending terrain, named Farah Baksh, Faiz Baksh, and Hayat Baksh. In 1981, UNESCO recognized the importance of this garden and included it in the list of World Heritage Sites.
