  • The Recitation: Hazrat Ja'far (RA), the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stood up and gave a compelling speech about the teachings of the Islamic faith. The King asked the Muslim refugees about their faith regarding Jesus. Instead of giving a mere answer, Hazrat Ja'far (RA) quoted from the Holy Quran about Jesus. The verses are from Surah Maryam, which describes the birth of Jesus and Mary in a very honorable way.
  • The Outcome: The King was so moved by the verses recited from the Holy Quran by Hazrat Ja'far (RA) that he started crying and said that these verses and the teachings of Jesus are from the same source of light. The King refused to hand over the Muslim refugees to the Quraysh and gave them refuge in his kingdom.
