Which is the largest oil field in Iraq?

RUMAILA, located in the south about 30 kilometers north of the port city of Basra, is Iraq's largest oil field and one of the largest worldwide. Its estimated reserves are over 17 billion barrels, or about a third of Iraq's total oil production. Then there is Kirkuk, one of Iraq's oldest and most storied oil fields; it was first discovered in 1927. For many years, it stood as the country's chief producer and a cornerstone of Iraq's oil story. However, in comparing total reserves with current production, it falls short against Rumaila, which remains the largest oil field in Iraq today.
