It can help you find out two things: absolute humidity—the amount of water vapor present in the air—and relative humidity—the moisture present in the air in relation to how much it is capable of holding at that particular time.
  • Hydrometer  is used to find the specific gravity or relative density of fluids. It is not used to find the humidity of the air. While it is true that some references mention it in relation to humidity, it is not the right device.
  • Barometer is used to find the pressure of the atmosphere.
  • Manometer is used to find the pressure of fluids or gases in a closed pipeline.
